To monitor the temperature of an external hydraulic circuit, an external temperature sensor can be connected to the unit (→ Installation).

Prerequisite:

  • ZE additional equipment

Input source

The parameter defines which source is used to transfer the actual temperature value from the external sensor.

locally

The actual temperature value from the external sensor is transmitted directly via the connection on the unit. To do this, connect the external sensor to the unit. The sensor type can be set manual using the [External Sensor type] Parameter.

OpcUA

The actual temperature value from the external sensor is transmitted via the OPC UA interface (higher-level system). To do this, The unit must be connected to the higher-level system via OPC UA. The connection for the external sensor (additional equipment ZE) is not required.

NOTE!

All sensor types must be set manual.

  1. On the home basic screen, tap the menu button

  2. Select [Setting] > [External sensor] > [External Sensor type].

  3. Set the parameter to the desired value

Switching to external sensor

The parameter defines how the controller behaves when an external sensor is connected.

  1. On the home basic screen, tap the menu button
  2. Select [Setting] > [External sensor] > [Switch Over Exernal Sensor]
  3. Set the parameter to the desired value
automatically

The Controller to the external sensor is automatically when it is detected.

NOTE!

If the external sensor failure, the Controller is automatically switched over to the internal measurement point. There is no adjustment of the temperature setpoint.

manual

The Controller on the external sensor must be switched on and off manual using The [external Sensor] function.

NOTE!

If the external sensor failure, a warning message is sent and the Controller is automatically switched over to the internal measurement point. The temperature setpoint is automatically adjusted with the actual value of the internal measurement point.

NOTE!

It is only necessary to switch the Controller on and off manually to an external sensor if the parameter [switch over exernal sensor] is Set to “manual”. The [External Sensor] function is only available when setting to “manual”.

  1. On the home basic screen, tap the menu button
  2. Select [Functions] > [External Sensor]

  3. Use the slider (, ) to turn the function on or off.
