The control parameter are automatically optimized after a modification in the temperature control circuit is detected or when an incorrect control behavior is detected. The most important characteristics of good control behavior are a minimal control deviation between the set value and the actual value, good fault behavior without overcoming, and rapid adjustment. Manual setting of the control parameters is normally not necessary.

Temperature fluctuations may occur while optimizing the controller. The auto-tuning is shown by the “AT” (Auto-Tuning) symbol on the basic screen. If the cooling capacity or heating capacity is not sufficient to auto-tuning, this will be canceled after 15 minutes at the latest.

Controller mode

Manual

The control parameter are set manual by the operator. The Controller can be optimized for a specific application through manual setting. If the application modification (temperature, flow rate, control circuit), it may be necessary to adjust the setting of the control parameter again. With this setting, there is no automatic auto-tuning!

NOTE!

Manual setting requires appropriate control knowledge.

Automatically

The control parameter are setting automatically after auto-tuning. If the application modification (temperature, flow rate, control circuit), this setting automatically auto-tuning!

Manual perform auto-tuning

In exceptional cases (control behavior is not satisfactory), it is recommended to carry out auto-tuning.

  1. On the basic screen, tap on the profile button
  2. Select [User Profile] and set it to “Maintenance.”
  3. On the home basic screen, tap the menu button
  4. Select [Setting] > [Temperature Control] > [auto-tuning].
  5. Tap the start symbol () to start the process.
→ The control parameter are automatically recalculated ().
→ After the auto-tuning is complete, the symbol changes back to ().

NOTE!

If, despite the optimization, the control behavior is inadequate, please contact your HB-Therm country representative.
