Qualification

  • Qualified personnel

Required equipment

  • Hydraulic line between main line return line connection with built-in temperature sensor (minimum inner diameter 8 mm, maximum length 1 m)
  • Tested temperature measuring instrument approved for reference measurement (adapted to the temperature sensor used).
  • An HB-TP180 checking facility can optional be used for temperature measurement. Further Information on https://knowledge.hb-therm.eu

Procedure

Internal temperature sensor:

  1. Install the hydraulic line between main line return line connections.
  2. Switch on the unit by tapping the I/O button ().
  3. Select [Setpoint Set Values > [Set Temperature 1]
  4. Set the parameter to “80°C.”
  5. Wait until the required temperature is reached and kept constant.
  6. Read the main line temperature and return line temperature displayed on the unit and compare them with the temperature displayed on the reference measuring instrument.

External temperature sensor:

  1. Close the external temperature sensor to the unit.
  2. Place the external temperature sensor in a reference water bath at 80°C.
  3. Switch on the unit by tapping the I/O button ().
  4. Read the temperature of the external sensor displayed on the unit and compare it with the temperature of the reference water bath.

Calibrate temperature sensor

  • If the deviation is <3°C, the temperature measurement is within the tolerance range.
  • If the deviation is >3 °C, the unit's temperature sensor must be checked. For larger linear errors, the individual temperature sensor can be calibrated → [Service] > [Calibrating] > [Temperature] > [.. ]
