Thermo-6 interfaces

Ethernet

The interface is the OPC UA server. A client is required for communication. This can be implemented in PC software (e.g. OPC UA Browser) or a machine control. Data is exchanged either directly between the machine control and the Thermo-6 temperature control unit or via the interface server. Gate-6

• Ethernet interface OPC UA (EUROMAP 82.1 Release 1.01 / OPC 40082-1)
• Front panel connection: 2-socket switch RJ-45
• Commercially available Ethernet cable available from specialist retailers

NOTE!

Use Category 5 or higher shielded cable for all Ethernet connections.

USB

Data is exchanged between the Thermo-6 temperature control unit and a USB data carrier.

• Front panel connection: USB-A
• Commercially available USB data carriers type A available from specialist retailers

NOTE!

FAT, FAT32, exFAT and ext2/3/4 formatted USB drives are supported.

HB CAN internal

Data is exchanged between the Thermo-6 temperature control unit and the Flow meter Flow-5.

• HB-Therm CAN data interface for connection Flow-5 flow meters.
• Front panel connection: 1 15-pin Sub-D socket

• Cable interface HB is available from your HB-Therm distributor (→ www.hb-therm.com)

• Maximum cable length HB: 50 m

Alarm and external control

The temperature control unit can be connected to the injection moulding machine and controlled via potential-free contacts.

• Front panel connection: 1 Harting Han 7D plug
• Cable for alarm contact and external control available via HB-Therm distributor (→ www.hb-therm.com)

Functions of the potential-free changeover contact:

• Read out the alarm status of the temperature control unit
• Switch the unit on and off
• Switch between setpoint values (Set temperature 1, Set temperature 2)
