Ethernet

The interface is the OPC UA server. A client is required for communication. This can be implemented in PC software (e.g. OPC UA Browser) or a machine control. Data is exchanged either directly between the machine control and the Thermo-6 temperature control unit or via the interface server. Gate-6

NOTE!

Use Category 5 or higher shielded cable for all Ethernet connections.

USB

Data is exchanged between the Thermo-6 temperature control unit and a USB data carrier.

  • Front panel connection: USB-A
  • Commercially available USB data carriers type A available from specialist retailers

NOTE!

FAT, FAT32, exFAT and ext2/3/4 formatted USB drives are supported.

HB CAN internal

Data is exchanged between the Thermo-6 temperature control unit and the Flow meter Flow-5.

Alarm and external control

The temperature control unit can be connected to the injection moulding machine and controlled via potential-free contacts.

Functions of the potential-free changeover contact:

  • Read out the alarm status of the temperature control unit
  • Switch the unit on and off
  • Switch between setpoint values (Set temperature 1, Set temperature 2)
