An external temperature sensor can be connected to the unit to control or measure the temperature of an external hydraulic circuit (e.g. Injection mold) (→ Settings).

  • 1 socket M12, 8 pin (female)
  • temperature sensor available from HB-Therm distributor (→ www.hb-therm.com)

Connectable sensor types:

  • Thermocouple type J, K, T
  • Pt 100 in 2, 3 or 4-wire circuit

NOTE!

The connection for the external temperature sensor on the Thermo-6 units is now an 8-pin M12 round socket (Thermo-5 and older series have a 5-pin audio socket).

If the 5-pin audio plug act installed on the external sensor (tool sensor) used, the cable adapter (T29279, see) must be used to connection to the Thermo-6 unit or the plug on the external sensor must be replaced.Accessories catalogue

Note that when using the cable adapter (T29279), an additional measurement error of up to 2 °C may occur due to different transition temperatures (thermocouple) or contact resistance (Pt 100). The cable length of the cable adapter is such that it can only be installed behind the front door of the device (including connection for the external sensor). If the effective measurement error act known, it can be corrected under [Setting] > [External Sensor] > [External Sensor Offset].
