The Gate-6 communicates with the e-cockpit app via Bluetooth. To use the functionality of the e-cockpit app (click here), the Gate-6 must be connected to the e-cockpit. The connection to connect the e-cockpit app to the Gate-6 is done by command a Thermo-6 unit connected to the Gate-6.
Prerequisites
Interface Server Gate-6 connected to at least one Thermo-6 unit (click here).
E-cockpit app installed on tablet or smartphone (click here).
Observe the Bluetooth range of Gate-6 (click here).
NOTE!
Communication between Gate-6 and the e-cockpit app takes place via Bluetooth. For larger amounts of data (e.g. “sending analysis data”, the system automatically switches to WLAN).
Coupling
On the basic screen of the Thermo-6 unit connected to the Gate-6, tap the main menu button ().
Select [Gate ] > [Bluetooth ]. → Switch on the Bluetooth interface [Bluetooth] with the slider ().
NOTE!
If the parameter [Bluetooth] is not displayed in the menu [Gate], the Thermo-6 unit is not connected to a Gate-6.
Select [Gate] > [Connect coupling the e-cockpit] → The process is started and the display window with the QR-Code appears on the display (Fig.).
Open the e-cockpit app.
Tap the QR code scanner () or the “Add New Gate-6” tile.
Scanning the QR-Code with your tablet or smartphone using the e-cockpit app. → The QR-Code is scanned and the pairing takes place.
The Units are connected when the Bluetooth connection confirmation code matches and is confirmed. The connection to the e-cockpit app is now established and the corresponding Gate-6 and the connected temperature control units Thermo-6 are visible in the overview.
Decoupling (e-cockpit)
Open the e-cockpit app.
Select Gate-6 from the overview. → The overview not only shows Gate-6 with an active connection, but also all previously connected Gate-6.
Hold down the selected Gate-6 and drag it to the left (Fig.)
Tap the trash can symbol (). → The Gate-6 is now deleted from the overview and is no longer linked to the e-cockpit app.
Decoupling (Gate-6/Thermo-6)
On the basic screen of the Thermo-6 unit connected to the Gate-6, tap the main menu button ().
Select [Gate] > [Bluetooth] > [Pairedunits]
Select the appropriate unit and tap the trash can symbol (). → The unit is now deleted from the overview and is no longer connected to Gate-6.
